Skills needed in the 21st century are used to discover, learn, and apply the elements of art and the principles of design to create visually strong compositions in all kinds of artwork—realistic, abstract, and expressive. Through a variety of media, projects emphasize the importance of problem solving, creative thinking, and art skill development. Students also become familiar with famous artists and the art career of graphic design.
